Help Us Purchase A Stone
Curling Stones are very expensive. A Brand new curling stone can cost as much as $650 each, and 16 stones are needed for each sheet. The three sets of stones we are using at the Ham were previously used at the Cape Cod Curling Club in Falmouth, MA, but are still in wonderful shape for many more years of good curling. We raised enough money to purchase one full set outright, and were given a loan to cover the cost of the other two sets ($9600 total). We would like to pay off the loan and own all three sets free and clear, and that is where you come in.
A donation of $250 will allow us to purchase one stone. Your name or business name will be engraved onto a brand-new handle and mounted to the curling stone, commemorating your donation, and reminding all future curlers at the Ham Arena of your support to help get curling started here in the Mt. Washington Valley. The engraved handle will be kept for the life of the stone. If you are interested in showing your support for the Mount Washington Valley Curling Club, you may download and fill out a Stone Handle Purchase Form here.
